GAS SAFETY (CP12) CERTIFICATE
For any Landlord who is renting out any accommodation they must by law have a CP12 (Gas Safety Certificate) as this is a legal document.
This will be conducted by a Gas Safety Engineer who is fully qualified and registered.
They will check your pipework as this will ensure that all tenants are protected from Gas and Carbon Monoxide leaks. This can be potentially life threatening.
Any Gas Safety Certificate provided to you from an Engineer is valid for 12 months.
After the 12 months each landlord must call out an engineer to perform the necessary checks again on pipework and gas appliances.
